Whilst it may be true that “Bluetooth Asset Tags” do last longer; the Bluetooth Devices being discussed in the article are not “Asset Tags”, as explained in the Figures highlighted — they are Communication and Tracking devices with VOiP capabilities. Asset Tags (to the best of my knowledge) do not monitor and broadcast the amount of information being collected through the systems used within the study. I’m sure the Asset Tags you build last almost five years, so does RFID. The Devices aren’t asset tags, they are (in essence) communication and monitoring devices with built in LCD’s. Regards.
