UFC 231: Max Holloway Vs. Brian Ortega.
My Prediction.
Holloway is making a comeback to the Octagon, with Brian ‘T-City’ Ortega ready to rumble his way in; to what could be one of the most anticipated cards and the most exciting title fight for the Featherweight division.
Ortega has shown his mastery, time and time again, with those baby blue eyes and instincts of a killer; fuelled by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training from the blood-line of the Gracie family.
Holloway makes his return after a break from the Octagon, and undoubtedly the Hawaiian community could not be more excited to see the fighter make his comeback. With health issues in the past, Holloway has confirmed that he is in fact in good shape and seems confident to take on the up and coming talent.
The fighting community is in fact so divided to call this fight, that even Joe Rogan had admitted on his recent podcast that the odds are just too difficult to evaluate.
Holloway has had historically documented health issues, and whilst the community has been assured that his comeback will be fulfilled; there was doubt over whether the fight would eventually happen.
Ortega, known for his grappling techniques layered with his displayed ability to take punches and return them with inescapable chokes; he’s definitely the contender I’m rooting for.
From a perspective of ability and conditioning, Ortega has the upper hand in this fight.
Especially if the fight continues further to the 3rd round; there’s no doubt in my mind that there is likelihood of Max Holloway facing issues with his cardio, whilst Ortega could use this to his advantage and attempt a surrender.
In my mind, this is a fight worth watching — and might just rewrite the UFC 229 incident; with Ortega emerging as a future contender for Khabib Nurmagomedov, should the Nevada State Commission allow it.
Since it’s the fight game, and anything can happen in a matter of seconds; as was evident in the Korean Zombie Vs Yair Rodriguez at UFC Denver.
I’d hold my breath until the final moments of the fight.
Final Evaluated Prediction: Ortega submits Holloway in the 3rd Round.

Wish the contenders all the best;
Tune in December, 8th for UFC 231; being held at Scotiabank Arenain Toronto, Ontario; Canada.
