There’s really no need to thank me, I’m just an inquisitive observer; following the same pursuit. Your words resonated with me, and it was one that compelled me with great admiration.

Writing is survival for me too, and there’s no other outlet that fulfils me. It’s daunting sometimes because in a world where purity is lacking, to find genuine gems of a deeper reflection. Not that I’m against people who write because of what’s “Popular”, the pieces that resonate the most with me are the ones that you just wrote. It’s the purity of it, and the ability to speak feely. Whilst we all continue on this journey, unsure of where it may land us, or what encounters we may have as a result of it — it is in its essence the most beautiful form of expression.

Poetry is a such a lovely art-form, yet I find that every day people seem to be lacking an appreciation for it. There’s nothing more beautiful than reading poem that pulls you in, and in an unforgiving way makes you reflect on your inner-self; through the words of others.

I suggest reading, if you haven’t already, one of my favourite pieces of all time — one that I read in my lowest of moments to remind myself to continue writing.

“Bumming with Jane” by Charles Bukowski.

I wish you all the success on your journey, and thank you for your kind words.

Much Love,
Nabeel.

I failed to learn the piano, so I decided I’d play the keyboard instead. //All aboard the Crazytrain.
