Simple measures for Creative Treasures.

Stop worrying about how stupid it sounds.

I’ve certainly have moments of doubt, I’m sure most others have too.

Should I publish it?

Should I wait for the ‘peak’ hour to publish?

What ‘tags’ should I use to get the most views?

What artwork works best with my writing?

Should I follow others and generate views?

Motivational Writing seems to get a lot of ‘likes’, but it’s not what I would write about, should I do it anyways?

You don’t know, what you don’t know — so stop pretending that you do.

Instead focus on what you do know, and garner the energy to create a piece of writing you can be proud of.

Don’t worry about the amount of likes, or the right tags, or the clickbait title.

You’ve gotta start with writing, first and foremost — with integrity.

Treat it like it’s your most sacred vision — it cannot be tampered with.

Cannot be filtered down to make it more ‘readable’.

It’s just not going to cut it.

I don’t often tell people what music I like listening to, what my favourite band is, who my favourite authors are, and what books I spend my time reading.

I don’t criticise or judge others for the decisions they make in what inspires them and makes them feel good.

Music, Books, Movies, even your favourite brand of Coffee — it’s all personal.

It’s not hurting anybody else and hence nobody has the right to call me out on what I should or shouldn’t be listening or reading.

My favourite movies of all time is a Box-Office failure and critics hated it.

My favourite song has never been on the Top-100 List.

My favourite book is a book most people say doesn’t make sense.

Does it bother me? No.

Why? Because it’s personal.

I take pleasure in things that make me happy and I don’t plan on starting to criticise people for what makes them happy.

But if you’re going to follow the crowd and want to jump the bandwagon on the most current ‘thing’ — beware; fads fade away, personal experiences do not.

And when the fad crowd moves on to the next hip-thing, you’ve got to decide whether you’re a sheep or a donkey; either way I think both animals are pretty cool.

I failed to learn the piano, so I decided I’d play the keyboard instead. //All aboard the Crazytrain.
