Now if you could please make this argument to my educational board, I will worship at your feet!
It’s ludicrous how much b.s. we’re told to feed students, when we know it’s not true — and the argument always ends up being “it’s for their own good”.
We know it’s not, and we’re told to lie anyways.
There’s this wonderful scene in Ozark, which I showed to my colleagues and they found it “funny”; whilst I acknowledge it is, there’s a much deeper meaning to it.
We “teach” students how to lie, condition them into it. We teach them to not “be inquisitive, because we’ll figure it out at some point”.
Try arguing that with a school board, hell bent on preserving their budget.
