I recently attended a conference where there was a bit of discussion about the ‘Social Media High’ and one of the speakers went on to explain at great length about how a simple ‘LIKE’ will trigger the same feelings as ‘Cocaine’ does, this sudden rush of euphoria and the people pleasing phenomenon kicks in to keep retaining the high as it starts to fade away.
