Dear Alec,

Whatever your higher power may be, doesn’t have to be a religious conversation; I hate to impose beliefs on others. Know that there is a universal energy that surrounds us. Adversity is a sign of growth, in this moment whatever you’re experiencing — be sure to take notice, slow down, and observe the change. It may feel uncomfortable, but you can turn negative experiences into positive ones.

The way I deal with my problems is, I do atleast one thing that makes me uncomfortable. I apply pressure on myself instead of looking for comfort. What it does is, it fills me with a sense of realisation that I did something I wouldn’t have done and hence made it through — so the feeling that I experienced prior seem less pronounced.

Evolutionarily, we are creatures who grow through pain — think of going to the gym for example, muscles only grow when we apply pressure to them, when they endure pain, allows them to grow.

This is human condition, as such continue on your journey. Keep writing, Keep Running, Let your mind be occupied by enough tasks that there is no energy for negativity.

In these moments you can reflect your most positive creations.

It’s in pain that we create some of our deepest work.

Wish you all the best and hope you recover well on your journey.

Kind Regards,
Nabeel Tahir.
