Nobody in the entertainment business has struck me their charisma as one of the Rapper and Chef, Action Bronson.
His story is compelling, his beginning are humble, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
Action Bronson was first introduced to me as the rapper that talks about ‘food’ a lot.
After doing a bit of research; I discovered and started following his work with VICE Media and Munchies, with his own Food and Culture show “Fuck, that’s Delicious.”
It’s not only his charisma that stands out, but how open he is to admitting his own faults.
There’s no pretentiousness to Action Bronson; there’s no act.
He truly is baloney.
The man is a walking hot box, and rumours claim that spending more than 10 seconds in the man’s presence will get you high as a kite.
He also makes no bones about the fact that he struggled; and that’s the part that I resonate with.
Action Bronson didn’t always intend on being a rapper; in fact had it not been for an accident, he’d still be working in a restaurant.
A cleaning mishap caused damage to Action Bronson’s leg; which resulted in him getting a bionic one.
With his glassy eyes and canvas like tattooed body, he’s not afraid to break barriers.
From his generosity to cooking for his fans to teaching a Fashion Writer how to cook, the man knows no boundaries — he’ll do whatever it takes to pursue his passion; Food and Music.
Which is what I think is the greatest take away from Action Bronson’s persona.
His talent, dedication, and humbleness is a culmination of what an Artist should be.
He’s the giver, the rule breaker, the funny man, the hoodie wearing Albanian rapper — who isn’t afraid of getting arrested for lighting up a join where-ever he wants.
He’s the feel-good artist that I think I can truly appreciate, with his upcoming endeavour into Acting in the The Irishman by Martin Scorsese.
I have absolutely no doubts that Mr. Action is slowing down anytime soon — I think he’s just getting warmed up.
